Announcing the AFP Houston Member Book Club!

Please join us for the inaugural meeting of the AFP Houston professional development Book Club on Friday, July 12 at 9:00 AM at Sunday Press (3315 Ella Blvd, Houston 77018). We will be reading and discussing Madam C. J. Walker's Gospel of Giving: Black Women's Philanthropy during Jim Crow (by Tyrone McKinley Freeman) We hope to see you there!

Update: Sunday Press does have power, so we will plan to meet there as scheduled on Friday, July 12. 

Our goal with the Book Club is to give our AFP Houston members an opportunity to connect and share diverse perspectives, while providing gentle accountability for reading and thinking more deeply about topics relevant to our field (development, philanthropy, social justice, management, etc.). The group is open and free for members!
