AFP Greater Houston Chapter receives the 2013 Friends of Diversity Designation
AFP Greater Houston Chapter received the 2013 Friends of Diversity Designation to be awarded at the 2014 International Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
The Friends of Diversity Designation recognizes those chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in the advancing diversity strategic goal. This designation encourages chapters to perform specific activities designed to increase diversity and inclusion within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy in all cultures.
AFP International Headquarters publishes a list of chapter goals. Chapters that successfully accomplish six of those goals during the year and are nominated will be honored with the Friends of Diversity Designation.
Please take time to review our scholarships, apply for one – or all, and share this important information with colleagues that you work with in and around Houston – one of our goals for the coming years is to ensure all of our members are aware and apply for these transformational opportunities.
