Becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) signals commitment, competence and credibility. To become a CFRE, fundraising professionals must document their professional performance, education, and professional practice, in addition to passing the CFRE exam.

We are proud to recognize Anne Marie Blacketer and Tami Scott for their accomplishment of becoming CFREs during the second CFRE testing window of 2019. We congratulate them on this career-defining achievement and for committing to uphold the highest standards in our profession.

"As a second career after success in sales, it was important to me to gain the knowledge necessary to lead successful campaigns and donor meetings, ethically and with great trust – for all our donors; large or small. The studying, preparation classes and peer lead discussions helped solidify my knowledge and lead to success with Major Giving, significant fund raising success, and hiring and mentoring successful team members!"

"When I learned of the CFRE certification several years ago, I knew immediately I wanted to pursue it. It means a lot to me to know that those with the CFRE are held to certain standards and that we all agree to conduct our fundraising efforts to those same standards. The CFRE also provides credibility in the fundraising field and challenges me to continue learning more about fundraising. As a consultant to nonprofit organizations, the CFRE designation puts my clients at immediate ease knowing that I have the experience and knowledge to help them. If you are debating on whether to pursue your CFRE or not, my recommendation is to go for it! I promise, you will not regret it."
