Today’s donors have become increasingly sophisticated when it comes to their philanthropic decisions.  It is essential that fundraisers be able to discuss giving options thoroughly and address related tax implications.  This session features important insights from the perspectives of investment advisor and nonprofit financial professional.  Attendees will learn:

  • Kind of general information fundraisers should be able to share with potential donors
  • Differences among annual/ongoing giving, legacy/estate giving, non-cash gifts
  • Strategies for tailoring giving options to individual donor circumstances
  • Potential tax implications associated with a particular type of giving
  • Red flags for proposed gifts
