April Educational Session and Luncheon

April 20, 2018

Join BKD Partner Paige Gerich as she shares key provisions of legislation

that will affect tax-exempt organizations.

Key Learner Objectives

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA) represents the largest change to federal tax code in more than 30 years for individuals and businesses, as well as tax-exempt organizations.

  • The Good News: What provisions did not make it in the final bill? Several key proposals directly impacting exempt organizations did not make their way into the final legislation. What does the future hold for these provisions and how might they impact your organization if they are resurrected in future legislation?

    The Bad News:
What provisions made the cut and how will they impact your organization? From increased excise taxes, unrelated business income, to changes in donor giving, TCJA will have a direct impact on all exempt organizations. Learn how your organization will be impacted.

  • And More: Many questions are being asked while we wait for additional guidance. With many provisions effective beginning January 1 how should exempt organizations change operations to comply? What can we expect to see in the coming weeks and months?
