Tina Santana is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with a passion for providing donors, patients, volunteers and alumni with exceptional experiences and is honored to work alongside these individuals to channel philanthropy for positive change. A native Houstonian, Tina has worked in the nonprofit community in Houston for nearly 10 years supporting healthcare institutions and their missions of delivering outstanding care and advancing paradigm-shifting research. She received a BA in International Studies from Texas A&M University and an MPA with a focus in non-profit management from the University of Houston. Tina developed a strong commitment to the nonprofit sector through early volunteer exposure that made clear the trajectory-setting potential of investing in our community.  

Today, Tina serves as a Senior Associate Director of Principal Gifts and Strategic Initiatives for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to joining MD Anderson, Tina was an Assistant Director of Development at Baylor College of Medicine and a Program Manager of Major Gifts at Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation. She is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Houston Chapter and member of the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers. In her spare time, Tina enjoys reading, salsa dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
