Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson has more than twenty years’ experience in philanthropy at various healthcare organizations. She currently serves as the Chief Advancement Officer at SERJobs. Prior to that Elizabeth was the Senior Director of Development at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading healthcare university and provider in the Houston community. 

Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Phoenix. She holds both a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing. Her career began at the American Heart Association, where she worked her way up in the organization to finish out her last seven years as a Regional Director managing seven boards in the Gulf Coast area of Houston. She has held the position as an Executive Director for a local non-profit and in 2014 accepted the position as Director of Development at UTHealth School of Dentistry. In 2016 she was promoted to Senior Director of Development and became a Team Lead for four Associate Directors.

While working at the American Heart Association, she received the Rookie of the Year Award during her first year as a Regional Director for exceeding goals in the areas of Fundraising, Programs, Communications and Advocacy. She also served on the Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart National Task Force.

She currently serves her fifth year on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Houston Chapter. In 2020, she served as President-Elect and Interim President, previously serving as Secretary. She is past Chair of the Ask the Experts Conference held annually. She is currently on the committee for the National Philanthropy Day for the third consecutive year. She has served as Secretary, Chair-Elect and Chair for the American Dental Educators Association for the Development and Public Affairs Committee.

Elizabeth has served on two Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo committees over the past four years. She is one of the Founders of the Dawson High School Football Booster Club in Pearland.
