Job Postings

The Association of Fundraising Professionals is the leading professional association for fundraisers working for not-for-profit and philanthropic organizations. The Greater Houston Chapter of AFP boasts a growing membership of approximately 500 professional members and reaches out to more than 4,000 Houstonians and organizations involved in the philanthropic process.

The Chapter offers two options for organizations that have a need to publicize career opportunities to our general membership.

  • 30 Day listing on the www.afphouston.org web site and a one month listing in the next issue of Developments, the monthly newsletter, cost $100. See three easy steps below.
  1. Maximum length of job posting is 100 words, entries exceeding the 100 word maximum will not be posted.
  2. Display ads are NOT accepted, text only.
  3. Newsletter editor has the discretion to edit postings to fit space or to follow common punctuation/grammatical standards.
  4. To be included in the newsletter, jobs must be published between the 1st and 20th of the month. There is not a newsletter publication in June.
  5. Once you have added the posting to the Job Posting section by clicking Add New Posting, your posting is automatically emailed to the AFP Chapter Manager for approval and possible editing. Once payment has been approved your position will be posted online and submitted for the next newsletter publication. Please allow at least 48 hours for processing.

  • Purchasing the Chapter’s mailing labels and sending the announcement directly to AFP members, cost $125.  (download the order form).
  1. Material to be mailed must be submitted for approval to the AFP Chapter Office via facsimile to 713.839.1453. (Please allow at least 48 hours for approval)
  2. Labels must be prepaid with check or credit card. Purchase orders and invoices are not accepted.
  3. Labels are printed on Avery 5160 while laser stock (30/page) in last name alpha order.
  4. By submitting the request form, the advertiser agrees that labels are released for a one-time use only on the approved mailing.
To post a job, follow the three easy steps below...

1.      Submit your posting information online by clicking on the ADD NEW POSTING link below, fill out the required fields and click submit (make sure your posting does not exceed 100 words maximum).  You will be given an option to pay by credit card or to send in a check.

2.      If paying by check, print, fill out, and return the PAYMENT FORM to the AFP-GHC office: P.O. Box 59, Bellaire, TX 77402

3.     Once your payment and online posting information is received, the AFP-GHC office will review and approve your online posting within 48 hours.

 

*To renew an existing job posting . . .

 

 Print out the payment form and fax to (713) 839-1453 with a credit card number. Please write renewal on the form. The cost is $100 for renewal.
